Completely missed the fact that
The Hold Steady have a new album out
Opinions, anyone?
So because I'm really geeky and sad I'm going to be staying up to watch the election results (following a post school sleep) and was wondering whether anyone would be interested in joining me? We can provide drink/nibbles etc.?

There's too much inconsistency in all these different opinion polls; I suggest we have one big opinion poll, in which everyone in the country can take part. That way, we'd find out once and for all where the parties really stand.

oh and @rich it was called
FontCreator, which is available
free (though not obviously from their website).

@spud, what was that font making program you showed me in 4th year? The simple and cheap one...
Thanks for that. I rode a Brompton this afternoon, cool folding mechanism but having such tiny wheels makes the ride quite strange. I think I'll stick with the old hybrid style and use the old bike as spare parts
I don't know much about folding bikes, there are lots of websites with reviews etc. One of the best cycling online superstores is
chain reaction cycles but sadly tey don't seem to stock many foldy bikes
I'd advise looking up a few models in your price range then read some reviews. I know Brompton are a renowned british manufacturer.
Ah, I was curious about that.
My bike is falling apart so I'm thinking about a new one, maybe a folding bike so it can be taken on the bus/tube/train. Any advice about what to look for or avoid?

It was my collegue Joe at work when I was explaining how the password protection for spam bots worked!
yeah, so why did the first message from Joe come from Lex's IP?
Hi World!
Nice site Rich
Wed 28th April
... and on a side note I am trying to add every geeky feature possible; rss, twitter, qr code, anything I have missed?
The email addy is nice isn't it

And yes the sculpting is a webcam/laser pointer 3D scanner...
The site structure is not editable online but is all kind of database driven - except it uses the file structure instead of a database. If I upload a picture with the right name format it is automatically added to the gallery which corresponds to that folder. It also looks for a text file with the description and displays that...
The RSS and latest content pages pages are totally automatic too...
And
Laser sculpting? Is that playing with your lasers and a webcam?
I just noticed the way you encoded your email address rich. Simple and effective, I like
QR barcode is nice too.
Does that PHP site have a backend to edit pages or is it all in files?

The favicon was going to be that but I decided an animated one would be annoying... The current one is just a still of that.
And re:twitterfeed.com I feed my blog and site into facebook and twitter...
What is your favicon all about btw?
v nice site Rich - had not noticed the text shadow until Lex mentioned it - but generally is easy to navigate and looks good. great work
So you feed your twitter into facebook?
I need to make a portfolio and self site sometime too. Useful to put things like personal wikis on etc too.
btw if you dont know about it http://twitterfeed.com/ is pretty handy; rss-->twitter and facebook...
Well given you like it I'll open it up to the world... I hope it doesn't get hacked too quickly, there is quite a lot of custom php in it so there are probably some code injection points...
Minimalism gives quick load times! It does fall apart a bit when the css features aren't supported though, it looks pretty ugly in ie6...
Sweet site rich!
I see you've found some CSS3 like text shadow
It looks very good and is nice and fast - quick page loads and it looks really pretty!
I didn't know you had a blog either, some really cool stuff on there! I just don't get how you have the time for all that stuff
I only found out you had a blog very recently, now you have a site! Is nice
I preordered new 65dos album btw, comes with an audio teaser - is nice
So who wants to test out a website? Looking for bugs, broken links and typos.
This is the secret way in until I take down the under construction notice...

Btw I know lots of the pages don't pass html validation, I'm on it!
I wonder if it would actually work in reality though, would need a lot of power and those keyboards sometimes miss inputs
